Caneega Cemetery II
Charles has found another grave. Matthew Screws, son of J Seaborn & Jane Screws, born Mar. 12,1886-died Mar.22, 1904. There's a 1900 census entry with him being listed as Matha. Could their accents be so heavy that the "hew" sounded like "ah"? I also wonder if, Mathey, was maybe his nickname.
Matthew's headstone unedited.
